A New Task for Every Week in 2013
As a New Year's resolution, I wanted to take care of some business at
home and get my "I'll get to that someday" things done. I'm setting out to get one done a week on average (these can be completed by DH too). It will be nice to see these things come to fruition and blog about as many of them as I can. Here's the list (I will add more as they come to mind):
- Organize junk drawer
- Clean upholstery and carpets
- Get new pillows for bed
- Make Petunia a bed
- Organize memorabilia/photo boxes
- Organize under sink area
Build a kitchen cart - see it here
- Reorganize files
- Start a small kitchen herb garden
- Make a car organizer
- Paint a picture of Petunia
- Get art in the blah-undry room
- Clean light fixtures throughout house
DVD and CD makeover (out of boxes and into pretty books) - see it here- Decorate shelving that once housed all the DVD cases
- Clip "keeper" articles from old mags, toss the rest
- Make fabric covers for binders to house magazine articles
- Make a chalk board
- Reorganize baking cupboard
Reorganize spices - see it here- Donate a car load of stuff
- Apply acrylic-latex caulk to bottom of carpets
- Get or make coasters
- Refinish dining room chairs
- Get art for kitchen
- Redo living room art
Make a french press cozy - see it here- Install cupboard door latches in bathroom
- Cleanup and hide cables and wires
